Speaking concept wise, the building item that is being analyzed is a literally a built item. Called the near house，this is a narrowed gate house which exists between two existing Tokyo residences, leading to a main house on the L-shaped site behind (Mount fuji architects studio: near house, 2010). The house in consideration is in a very busy residential area in Tokyo. This house basically has two sections. The lot on which the house is built is L shaped.
