With this particular example the understanding of the episodic retrieval of the memory becomes much more easy and relevant. There is this retrieval cue which actually triggers the memory search. This retrieval cue also from being generic to focus down on the specific activity which took place at particular time and place.
In the process of monitoring of the information, the rejected ones are not needed and will lead to the refining of the data (Science, 2015). The mode in which these different processes are going on and taking place in the hypothetical mental state is known as retrieval mode. The retrieval mode which is responsible for keeping an account of the events in the past.
The operation of the processes is at a dynamic speed and one is usually unaware about it. However, these shall be investigated by measuring the effects of the experimental variables and objects on the different memory tests pertaining to the episodic memory. Source of memory, recalling and the recognition of the tests are linked with the episodic memory. There are various test performed, like recall test in which the target information is not provided and the participants involved in it have to generate the context related information. In the source test the participants are given an item and they are asked to associate it with spatial dimensions, sound or senses. The amount of information which is successfully revived is one of the variable which can be measured of manipulated according by the researchers (Knott, 2014).
The regions would actually show hits for the correct rejections which will be included in the working memory (Cai, Mednick, Harrison, & Kanady, 2009)
The region of posterior parietal and midline regions are very much associated with the success in the retrieval of source memory tasks. The activation takes place in the middle frontal gyrus which reflect the greater demand of working memory. It contributes greatly to the sematic process contribution which takes place while encoding. During the retrieval of a great old responses whose impact has been very strong in nature and also whose information is large in nature, causes activation in the anterior left gyrus which is very dominating.
