But since the 1990s, with the help of the development in econometrics and the increasing data samples, the applied researches of purchasing power parity was rising again. The content greatly broke through the traditional purchasing power parity theory. The common view of purchasing power parity appears to be from completely negative to completely positive. Almost every new appeared quantitative method was immediately used for empirical studies of purchasing power parity by economists.
