The Han Dynasty has a major role in the development of China; it patronized trade and commercialization with different merchants within Asia. The renowned Silk Road came into being at this time only and it comprised of various routes cut between mountains and valleys that were taken by merchants, traders and government servants to travel between countries. This route was safe from the clutches of dacoits and thieves. Not only this, during the Han Dynasty, agriculture practices became more refined and new complex iron tools were developed and used on the field.
The developments in China did the ground work in terms of traditions culture and economic trends that acted as the pattern or direction for many centuries to come. The development of foreign trade and distinct and capable political patterns were great stepping stones. The Chinese family came into its basic form and this maturity affected the economy in a dramatic way. The development in technology, science, medicine and mathematics can all be traced back to the Han dynasty (Lockarg, 2010).
