The destination is, in itself, of much less significance as compared to the journey, for the former is almost always only a grave, and I believe in University of Colorado being the right place for me to journey through.I’m a traditional Chinese young man who lives in China about 19 years with a happy family, and my parents love me and always encourage me to go out to create my wonderful life, so I always have confidence with people and always can see smile on my face. I like to play saxophone because I think it can cultivate my taste, and you can see me running regularlybecauseI think this kind of exercise can train my perseverance that I will never give when facing difficulties.One of the biggest reasons for my strong inclination towards University of Colorado is the opportunity it provides to learn, interact, contribute and succeed with faculty and peers alike, who share traits of academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, ardent passion for learning and research and an innate desire to succeed.
I believe hard work and perseverance are the most fundamental ingredients for success. The numerous challenges in which I have faced defeat have been a very significant part of my learning curve. They have provided me with foresight and valuable experiences which have over time taught me to respect challenges and given me courage to endure them. Over time I have also learnt that the greatest battles in life are the ones of attrition, and are won not by the might, but by perseverance. I might not be the fastest or the strongest but I fight the longest and over the years this has become my proven formula for winning.In the first year of my college, I spend a lot of time in Student Union, volunteer, and part time jobs, but my GPA is 3.60.
