In order to minimize the group cohesion, I had made interpersonal communication with the team members, and through this, the commitment had been generated within the team. When we started forming a group, we adhered to the Tuckman’s theory and stages of team formation. Considering the Tuckman’s model, four important steps have been followed by me and my team members, which includes forming, storming, norming and performing. In a case of forming, I had to ensure that whether all the team members are positive and committed towards their work goals or not. Along with this, I had observed that the team members in many cases are anxious by nature and on the other hand, they are simply excited about the new task ahead.

As a leader I had played a dominant role here to encourage and motivate the team members to work together as a team and make timely delivery of their respective presentation slots. While forming and storming the team, coordination and cooperation were immense from the part of the team members. After this, the team was capable enough to reach the performing stage where they had been successful enough in delegating their tasks and motivate other new entrants in the organization. The final stage is adjourning where the proper team restructuring had been performed and in that context, I had provided them with adequate presentation styles and the presentation time to achieve the success in the presentation.
