The scope and gamut of the Korean Films and Dramas spreads across both North and South Korea. The films established North Korean primarily showcases quaint notions of communism and have not been regarded of being of high quality, However the Films made in South Korea are based on a variety of themes and are recognized on an International level. The golden era of the Korean films and drama stretched across from the 1940’s to 1950’s, shortly after which most of the Korean population became keener on watching Imported Films. Witnessing this trend and to prevent subsequent loss of the cultural heritage of Korean Films and Drama, certain laws and rules were established by the government of Korea which limited the number of Films being imported, this step brought back the popularity of local films in Korea.
