As a group, we were involved in the creation of the RFP. We collaborated with one another to define the purpose of the RFP for Silver Bear Lodge, the Scope, the objectives of the RFP as in the case of the buyer, the IT requirements, solution requirements, the contract inclusions and vendor responses expected. As a group, we had to first work on creating the elementary structure of the report. We decided on the outline of the report, the task description, the ways we were to make use of the methodology and also adhere to the COTS requirements and more.

I believe that the primary strength we found in starting as a group was that we were able to bring more to the discussion. Using the JAD methodology means deviating from the standard SDLC and other popular formats like Agile and hence we had to continuously monitor out use of the JAD. Since we are not trained well in JAD but are for the first time attempting to incorporate the process into our work, it was critical that we do it in such a way that most of the best practices with respect to it should be included.
