Another way to have a sustainable growth is to understand the employees. Each employee has a knack for something special. Thus the company should employ people in departments based on their capabilities. If an employee is good in finance, but he is made to work for the marketing department, then the company is not only loosing the skillset of a particular employee, but also is outing the employee in a department which does not excite him and thus wasting the resource (Burgess, 2001). Thus it is very important for the company to understand the capabilities and skillset of each employee and then place them in the deserving sections. This will not only keep the employees motivated but also it will make them feel valued and acknowledged.
Another way to have sustainable growth is to encourage the employees to indulge in innovation. Innovation helps the companies in thinking outside the box and thus gives them edge over other businesses. This can only be done at the workplace when the employees are motivated enough to think outside the box and are ready to give in their best to the business (Storey, 1994). If the employees see that they are valued in the firm and that their ideas hold importance to the management, then they would be inclined towards suggesting ways and means to optimize the business and in turn help the firm to achieve a sustainable growth.
