  The International market is becoming really tough for the businesses as competitors are increasing day by day in the market. In the same manner, change in trends has a huge impact on the progress of the industry in a domestic as well as the international market (Hollensen, 2017). Wine Industry was flourishing in the beginning as it was delivering a good quality of wine to the people available in the market and was fulfilling the demands of the people in a proper way. Time changes and there were many of the issues which started affecting the progress of the wine companies, some of these issues are:

  Distribution and marketing became one of the major issues for the wine companies. The cross border shipping was getting expensive and the wine companies were facing issues in negotiating with the merchants (Gillespie and Hennessey, 2016). This was affecting the price of the wine due to which demand was getting affected.

  New markets were opening which was given invitations to the competitors. Many of the competitors started entering into the market and due to high competition, the market of wine started getting affected (Chu and Huang, 2010).

  The political change also affected the wine industry as there were a various set of norms which started affecting the market. Political parties started putting restrictions in relation to the production of wine. This has started affecting the production process of wine companies.

  Demand patterns were also changing at the global level which again affected the progress of the wine industry. The dramatic decline in the demand of wine occurred in the countries which were in the list of highest consumption. The reason behind it is that the drinking preferences of the new generation started changing due to which demand of wine got affected (Whatley, 2012).
