There are still lots of weakness for me in the course and I am trying to face all the problems and doing better. One negative point for me is the budget. In the first class this term, our homework is going to make a budget.  VAT or tax is all strange for me and I have never used excel before. I was nervous and afraid to finish my homework, I asked friends and classmates to help me understand what is VAT and how to account. Listen to the class carefully to know what should I offer in the budget and how to calculate my fee. Then, I send my work through e-mail to my teacher, asking if I was doing well. My teacher helped me to fix the homework and I was confidence to go to class later. Its not afraid to ask someone else, the most scared is you don’t how to study and be shy all the time. I think I am better than before because I am never afraid to ask people.  In November, 2009, I was working as a marketing assistance in Italian Shoes exhibition, working for the Italian Trade Commission. My job is to helped Italian people sign in and send out the handbill to the customer, telling them each shoes brand in the different areas. At first, I am nervous and shy when I talk to the foreigner but later I can talk to them easily. Same in class: In assignment 1, this is my first time to do presentation in UK. To be honest, I was really nervous and actually lose many sentences when my turns on. I think I should staying calm at all times, there is no one client wants to see the agency who are nervous when present their ideas. Also, my teammates are flexible when they answer the client’s question. However, things can and will change with a moment notice, clients also may have some questions to ask us. I am weak at this point. It is not to say I don’t know the answer, it is because I am not good at speaking English, especially when I was nervous. The event manager needs to be able to, for lack of a better word. Confidence is one of the most important things when people present their products to the client, I try to speak more in front of the students and I am sure I can be better in assignment 2.  Still, The Italian Shoes exhibition is works well, customers enjoy the show and the environment. I know how important is the venue and we have to consider wet weather option in our assignment.
