Loneliness as Physical Pain
Every one of us is able of feeling lonesome, and loneliness is an equal chance tenant for good raison d’être. We come to know that loneliness is the societal comparable of physical pain, hunger, and thirst; the pain of social detachment and the hunger and thirst for social association stimulate the upholding and structure of social relations indispensable for the continued existence of our genes (Cacioppo, Hawkley and Ernst, 2006). The study reveals that the disheartened individual is in appalling and interminable emotional pain, and the impracticality of giving out or articulating this pain is itself a piece of the pain and an adding factor in its critical shock. Fraction of what makes pain hurting is its confidentiality and unsharability, the emotion of aloneness (Biro, 2011).
