Tim Costello is a famous leader who currently is the world CEO of World Vision Australia, a charitable foundation and regional off shoot of World Vision International. He was born on 4th March 1995 and was an Australian Baptist minister. He studied at Monash University gaining multiple degrees, Bachelor of Jurisprudence degree in 1976; gaining Bachelor of Laws in 1978; and in 1979 he attained the Diploma of Education. He studied theology with his wife, Merridie, in Switzerland and both received the Bachelor of Divinity degree, after which they returned to Australia. He had been practicing as a criminal lawyer and as a solicitor in family, while also being elected as a Mayor of St. Kilda Council where he mastered the art of local democracy. He had been involved in several campaigns against gun control in Australia, gambling, and bringing up and commenting on many social problems.
Earlier in 2008, he was awarded an honorary doctorate for his contributions in social justice and religious life by the Australian Catholic University. In 2004, he was appointed the CEO of World Vision Australia following his years of community service and demand for social justice and initiating resolution for many social problems across Australia. He has been actively involved in eradicating poverty, providing policy suggestions that will affect the gradual elimination of current social issues, and in providing a conducive environment for equality to thrive and grow, all through his CEO position and being aligned with the primary objectives of World Vision Australia.
