The government started to cut down on spending. This invariably hit the schools and colleges. The people were not able to get the required education. The cut back also impacted the development of the future generation.
The working population were the ones who were most hit by this crisis. The people between the ages of 18 and 25 were found to have no employment prospects. The recent college graduates had a loan or other financial objectives that they were not able to maintain. They were found to have no prospects in the job market (Acharya et al., 2009). They were burdened by loans and had no job prospects to sustain.
The people who were employed were facing the issues of lower wages. The employed people were not given the salary packages or cutting down of the salary was found to be evident. It was found that the people in general were not able to maintain their standards of living owing to the rising inflation and lowering of the wages. The people started to seek out early retirement in some cases. The developed international and multinational companies were cautiously looking for ways to cut back spending. This led to lower employment. Even the established businesses were found to face the brunt of these issues. A trickle down negative effect was found to be in play. This caused a spiralling of impacts that was detrimental to the people.
