The corporate sustainability of the firm, their decision-making process, and the practices based on the theoretical framework, are used to the expansion of the economic, environmental and the social sustainability (Demosthenous et al., 2011). These above mentioned operating factors are briefly described under this case study, and these reports are communicated by following the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard. The Timberwell construction consists of 58 male employees, and they have to recruit more 12 new employees to compete with their competitors. For encouraging the staffs, they had increased the salary of their employees. This issue includes the economic and the social sustainability of the company, which is a part of the discussion of this paper. In relation to GRI, the sustainability report standard and the GRI standard glossary which were published in 2016, the set of total 9 of GRI disclosures are utilized here to demonstrate the factors of economy, environment, and the social sustainability. The economic sustainability shows the economic performance, market value, anti-corruption nature of the company. Finally, in the last aspect, the sustainability of social factor illustrates the nature of qualified employees, management, training, education and so on.
A. Economic sustainability
The standard of economic performance set by the Global Sustainability Standards Board identifies some requirements for reporting on the economic performance of the organization. The standard is capable of being applied by all organizations related to any size, sector, type or location. The GRI Sustainability Reporting standards were designed by companies for reporting the impacts of any decision on the economy, the society and the environment (Aurifeille, 2011). As per the GRI standards, the economic aspect of sustainability deals with the impacts of the organization on its several stakeholders and the global, national and local economic frameworks. The standards seek to address the capital flow across the stakeholders of a company and the primary economic effects.
