Personality and its relation to the behaviour, attitude and performance of the employee at work
It is completely true that the personality of an employee affects their behaviour at work and it directly affects the different features of the performance of that person at work. The person reacts differently in different scenarios at work. We all know that not all people are suited for a particular job and not all jobs can be done by anyone. The attitude and behaviour of the employee governs their personality and in turn affects the employee’s performance at work. Hence it is necessary that the scholars of organizational behaviour and leaders in organizations recognize the personality traits of their employees. This is discussed in much detail later. An introvert’s character is best fit for positions where interaction with other people are required and the character of such a person shapes that individual’s behaviour and performance. At the same time for some other employee motivation at work may be important, some others may be ethically oriented and a few others may be creatively organised.
