The main role of it is to transmit signals between various parts of the body. In human body, the nervous system consists of two parts and they are peripheral and central. The central nervous system of human body consists of spinal cord, brain and retina. Peripheral nervous system consists of nerves and ganglia which are outside of spinal cord and brain. The main role of peripheral nervous system is to connect the central nervous system to organs and limbs. The peripheral nervous system is not protected by bone of skull and spine. The peripheral nervous system is divided into two parts. They are autonomic nervous system and somatic nervous system.
There are some effects of low blood pressures on nervous system. In medicine or physiology, hypotension is considered as abnormally low blood pressure. It is especially in the arteries of systematic circulation. It cannot be considered as a disease. Rather it can be considered as a physiological state. Sometimes it is associated with a shock. Hypotension is just opposite of hypertension which is mainly caused by high blood pressure. Blood pressure is regarded as the force of blood which pushes against the wall of arteries when heart pumps out blood (Rossi, 2004).
