Employee relations is necessary in every organisation because it enhances economic status of the worker, regulates production by minimizing industrial conflicts, develops trade unions in order to improve workers’ collective strength and gives opportunity to workers to have a say in management decision making process (Hyman, 1975). It also helps in socialising industries by making the government an employer and builds employer’s associations to fight against similar problems faced by them. Good industrial relations imply peaceful and harmonious relations between labour and management.
