With e-business the traditional market has seen changes in almost each and every aspect of conducting business. Below mentioned points briefly describe the avenues and the changes.
1)Competition: When we look at the traditional market competition was limited to and was defined by geographic area, or a single industry. But with internet and e-business there are no such limitations. Thus, the competition has now gone to the global level because of reach and ease of access (Business Resources, 2011).
2)Infrastructure: Traditional market was dependent upon the infrastructure in place for carrying out business activities. With e-business the scenario has changed completely, one can run a successful business by not even owning the smallest piece of land but by owning some space in the digital world (Business Resources, 2011).
3)Flexibility: Traditional markets were not flexible and were bounded by timings, workforce, inventories; lack of information etc. e-business has overcome all these drawbacks and has come up as an ideal solution to all these limitations (Business Resources, 2011).
4)Assessment of needs: E-business provides freedom to run the business as per the needs of business owner. In traditional system, the size of the business was reflected by the size of the business place, whereas in the digital world smallest of the businesses can have largest of spaces and vice versa (Small Business – Chron.com, 2015).
5)Change of communication techniques: E-business provides freedom to choose the type and amount of customer interaction. Different types of communication will include visual, audio and other sensory effects for making an impact whereas the amount of information will include the following the customer everywhere, wherever he goes (Small Business – Chron.com, 2015).
6)Legalities: Since a whole new world was open for business in the form of digital world, it is equally important to form a legal framework for making sure that rights of all the parties involved are protected. Cyber laws are an example of rules put in place for defining work ethic in the digital world and at the same time define cybercrimes as well(Small Business – Chron.com, 2015).
